Mr. G. E. “R ed" Davenport, age 78. of Colorado City, died Saturday, March 13,
1999 at his residence. Graveside services w ere at 2 p m. Tuesday, March 16,
1999 in the Westbrook Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Stice officiating. Services are
being handled by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Davenport was born October 17, 1920 in Davis, Oklahoma. He was a
retired foreman for Chevron, a U S Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and a
Methodist.
Survivors include a brother, Hugh F. Davenport of Anza, CA. tw sisters,
Dollie Childers of Colorado City and Ida Stokes of Snyder; several nieces and
nephews.
