WINNFIELD, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lea Townsend Jones will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Southern Chapel with Edler Thurman Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Mrs. Jones, age 79, of Bossier City, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995 at Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport. Mrs. Jones was a member of the American Legion, Koran, LA and a resident of Bossier City since 1962.

Mrs. Jones is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Stanley W. and Lou Ella Townsend of Galena, Missouri; one sister, Amy J. Townsend Wilks of Lovington, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews and many loving and caring neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Chief Warrant Officer, P. C. Jones in 1975; her mother, Geneva Townsend in 1976; her father, Robert Edward Townsend in 1958; two brothers, Elmo Townsend in 1987 and John Hardy Townsend in 1987; and by her sister, Alma Townsend Robins in 1945.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
