Campobello - Mrs. Janie Lanford Farmer, 85, of Campobello, died at 2:50 a.m., Thursday at Mountainview after several months of declining health. She was born and raised in Spartanburg County and was the widow L. B. Farmer. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Meredith and Nannie Crowe Lanford. Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at the Motlow Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. W. D. Chesnee, Ray Holston and J. T. Lake will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Farmer, Boyce Lee West, Hugh H. Lanford, Elbert West, Barney Morrow, and Boyce Farmer. The Deacons of Campobello and Motlow Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The body will be at the Petty Funeral home in Landrum until 1:30.
