Campobello - L.B. Farmer, 86, died at his home at 1 p.m. Tuesday after a week's serious illness. He was a retired farmer and resident of the Motlow Creek Community. Mr. Farmer was born in Greenville County, the son of the late Jack and Susan Cannon Farmer. He was a member of of Motlow Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Janie Lanford Farmer; one brother, J. A. Farmer of Campobello Route 2. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. by Revs. Tillman Lake, Paul Mabry and F. L. Lanford. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Petty Funeral Home of Landrum is in charge of arrangements.
