Abraham Lopeman aged 62 years died Sunday afternoon at his home near Thayer. Mr. Lopeman had lived on a farm for nearly 19 years, after retiring from his trade as a boilermaker.
He was born Feb. 19, 1881 at Galena and was married to Lotus
Tomlinson at Erie July 27, 1910.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Leroy of Thayer, and two
daughters, Jessie May and Anna Belle Lopeman, of the home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Balf of the Christian church in charge.
Music was furnished by Mrs. A. E. Neill and Mrs. Verne Elliott, accompanied by Mrs. Milo Hazen at the piano.
Pallbearers were: Dick Wait, Harry Pownail, Verne Elliott, Willard Knox, Vernon Gildart and Ira Hague. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery, Chanute.
