He was born in Dec. 25, 1889, in Caldwell, Idaho, the son of Simon and Georgeana Lopeman. When he was
a child the family moved to Kansas, where he grew to manhood. As an oiler he worked in the oilfields of
Kansas and Oklahoma until coming to Jefferson County in 1931. In Chimacum he served as driver for the
school bus until he suffered a stroke in 1954.
Mr. Lopeman was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and many years ago in Kansas he was
affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held in Stroud's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 1, at one o'clock, conducted by
the Eagles Aerie No. 182. Interment will be in the Chimacum Cemetery. He is survived by thirteen nephews
and nieces.
