Lotus Fletcher died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in the Neosho Memorial hospital in Chanute, which she entered Friday, June 1.  She had been in failing health the past two months. 

She was born August 9, 1893, to Mr. and Mrs. Ward Beecher Tomlinson at Chanute, Kansas.  She was married to Abraham Lopeman and to this union three children were born.  They lived on a farm southwest of Thayer.  Mr. Lopeman died in 1943.

On August 10, 1946, she married George Fletcher at Independence, Kansas.  They lived on a farm near Morehead for a short time, then moved to their present home in Thayer.

Survivors are:  the husband and Jessie Lopeman, who is seriously ill in the hopital, of the home; and another daughter Mrs. Annabella Nichols, Kansas City; a son Leroy S. Lopeman, Chanute; one brother, Harvey Tomlinson of California; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Rowley, Chanute and Mrs Myrtle Dennis of Omaha, Nebr., one half sister Mrs. Charlotte Davidson, Granby, Mo., three half brothers, Mervil Amberg, and Walter Amberg, Chanute, and Merle Amberg, Wichita; one step daughter, Mrs. Elba Ward, Thayer.
Mrs. Fletcher lived her entire life in Neosho County.  She was a member of the Thayer Methodist Church and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Thayer Methodist Church with the Rev. Wright M. Horton officiating.  Interment will be in Thayer cemetery.
