Mabel Marie Sisson, 72, died at 7:20 p.m., Wednesday February 26, at her home in Luray.
Born June 2, 1902 at Arbela, she was the daughter of William Lakin and Ida Lena Hamilton Hutson. She married Lawrence Sisson August 6, 1921, at Kahoka and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elzie (Mildred Leona) Roberts of Luray, Mrs. Robert (Beatrice "Bonnie" Lavaughn) Spowart of Burlington, Iowa; one son, Richard Leslie of Luray, two brothers, Fern Hutson of Carman, Illinois, Sherman Hutson of Galesburg, Illinois, two sisters, Mrs. Mae Campbell, Leeton, Missouri, Mrs. Thelma Campbell of St. Joseph, Missouri, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Elmer, Lester, Leonard, and Claude, three sisters, Letha Ball, Ethel Bowden, one sister in infancy, and two half-brothers.
Mrs. Sisson was a member of the Luray Baptist Church.
Services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Luray Baptist Church with the Rev. George Keppner and Rev. Harry Kearns officiating. Interment in Combs Cemetery at Luray.
