CHENEY _ Jacob ``Jake'' Hoefner, 92, died Thursday, June 24, 1993, at Cheney.
He was born Nov. 27, 1900, to Henry and Louise Hoefner at Mount City, S.D.
He married Bertha Jasman on Dec. 22, 1926, at Ruff. He had lived at Hartline where he was a wheat farmer, and had lived in the Cashmere area for the last 50 years. He served in the armed services during World War I. He was a member of the Dryden Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife of Cheney; three sons, Marion K. Hoefner and Harry L. Hoefner, both of Allyn, and Marvin J. Hoefner of Enumclaw; a daughter, Eleanor L. Moore of Cheney; a brother, Henry Hoefner of Cashmere; two sisters, Bertha Schmidt of Cashmere and Louise Becker of Spokane; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Alvin G. Hoefner, and three brothers.
