Isaac is mentioned in his father's will. A partial part of that will follows that includes Isaac's name.

I consider the imbecillity of my Body well knowing that it is appointed Men once to die, therefore I make this as my last Will and Testament, as follows, to wit:
I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Maria Elisabetha all my Land, House, Dwelling and other Buildings, which I have and pofsefs in Exeter Township Berks County, during her natural Life or so long as she remains my Widow, to receive the profit and revenues of it to do with it at her own pleasure.
Item, give I and bequeath to my Son Isaac Ritter, his Heirs, Afsignees, Executors or Administrators, all my Land, Houfses (houses) and other Buildings, which I have in Exeter Township Berks County, to have to keep it and to do with it so as it pleases him, but under this Condition, that he not can property take pofsefsion of it, till after the Death of my Wife, his Mother. For which he during Six Months after the Death of his said Mother shall pay into the Hands of my Executors the Sum of Seven hundred Pound and afterwards yearly the Sum of Three hundred and fifty Pound, all in current money. Which Money every time by my said Executors to my other Children his Brothers and Sisters to wit, Johannes, Jacob, Henrich, Christian, Abraham, Barbara and Maria directly shall be divided, till each of them has according to my Will what it shall have or till a Sum of Two thousand and fifty Pound is paid.
For the rest name, impower and appoint I my well beloved Son in Law Christian Hechler and my esteemed Friend Adam Young my Executors of this my last Will and
Testament and make with this all Wills and Testaments void and null, but declare this and no other as my last Will and Testament. In testimony there of have I signed it with my own hand and put my seal to it, the first March in the Year of Christ One thousand eight hundred and eight. 1808. George Ritter X his mark
Another source of information for Isaac is "The History of Berks County", although this source contains mistakes. In addition, the little booklet, "Ritterana" was used as a source.
Disclaimer: Some family historians believe that Isaac's father was Ferdinand Ritter, but this researcher can find no proof of this through local records of that time. The SAR record posted here as a photo on Isaac's memorial should be taken with a grain of salt. There is a DAR Record A096324 that would dispute that information.
