Agnes Stewart Niblock, of Brandon Oaks Retirement Community, Roanoke, and formerly of 3457 Peakwood Drive., died Tuesday, December 19, 1995, at Brandon Oaks. Surviving are her husband, Henry L. Niblock; a sister, Mrs. H. W. (Lottie) Shepherd, Roanoke; a nephew and niece, Bill and Lori Shepherd and their sons, John and Scott, Reno, Nev. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the sanctuary choir for many years. Mrs. Niblock was a retired teacher from the Public Schools of North Carolina and Roanoke for 39 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma (an honor society for teachers). She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (General James Breckenridge Chapter), a member of the National Society of the Magna Charter Dames and the Planagent Society. Mrs. Niblock was also a member of the Thursday Morning Music Club and the Roanoke Symphony Auxiliary. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday from First Presbyterian Church (Lapsley Chapel) with the Rev. Robert D. Smith, the Rev. Dr. W. Philip West, and the Rev. Dr. Charles Easley officiating. Burial will be in Greensboro, N. C., 3 p.m. Thursday at Alamance Presbyterian Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Music Department of First Presbyterian Church, (2105 South Jefferson, Roanoke, Va.). Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
