MCLEANSVILLE - John Henry Stewart, 82, of 1901 Mount Hope Church Road died Friday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Alamance Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, he was a farmer and a retired salesman from Vanstory and Frankenberger Clothing stores. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was deacon, elder emeritus and choir member at his church.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Lottie Shepherd, Mrs. Agnes Niblock, both of Roanoke, Va.
The family will be in the church parlor after the funeral.
