Wife of Chapman Johnson Wright. They married February 11, 1897. She is the mother of Hezzie Franklin, Frennie Bell, Elbert "Cary", Clarnence Jackson "Puvey", Leslie Mae, Lillie Christine, Virginia Irene, Carl Everett, and Otha Raymond Wright.

From The New Castle Record July 2, 1959:

Mrs. Virginia Brizendine Wright, 79, died at her home here Thursday, June 25. Surviving are four sons, H.F., Elbert, and C.J. Wright, New Castle; C.E. Wright, Newport News; four daughters, Mrs. J.T. Mayo and Mrs. Lilly Hall, New Castle; Mrs. Virginia Burcher and Mrs. Leslie Doughty, Newport News; a foster son, Roy Kittinger, Newport News; a sister, Mrs. Annie Kittinger, Covington; two brothers, L.A. Brizendine and Walter Brizendine, New Castle; 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Cross Roads Church with burial in the cemetery there.
