JAMESTOWN-Carl Everett Wright, 73, of 108 Woodleigh Court died Wednesday, October 6, 1993, at his home. He had been in declining health several months.

He was born May 30, 1920, in New Castle, Virginia, a son of Chapman Johnson and Virginia Brizendine Wright. He had been a resident of Jamestown for the past 16 years and was a retired construction engineer, having been associated with Alloy-Cladding, Inc. in Fort Myers, Florida. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.

On December 22, 1965, he was married to the former Joan Highmore who survives of the home. Also surviving are sons, Carl Emerson "Mickey" Wright of 503 O'Neill Drive, Jamestown, and Stanley Wright of Clifton Forge, Virginia; daughter, Mrs. John (Patricia) McNair of Stafford, Virginia; step-sons, John Lee of Williamsburg, Virginia, Terry Lee Davenport of Iowa; sisters, Mrs. Les Bush, Mrs. Lillian Hall, both of New Castle, Virginia, Mrs. Virginia Morrison of Newport News, Virginia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Guilford Memorial Park by the Rev. Kevin Haige.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Mortuary, Eastchester Drive.
