Kenneth Fay Smith was born July 30, 1917, in Hermon, son of S. Fay and Nettie Reed Smith. He attended school in Pyrites and was employed as truck driver for J&L Steel Co., Star Lake, until his retirement in 1976.
He married his wife, Clara A. Henderson, on August 28, 1948 in Colton NY. His wife, along with a son, daughter, brother, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, survive him.
Two brothers, Brayton and Rollie, and a sister, Norene Hickok died before him.
He was a former member of Fine Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing cards.
