Helen Barton Farmer, 70, died Thursday night at the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg. She lived at 1906 Fifth Street and was the wife of the late J. B. "Benny" Farmer. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Margaret Lester, Norfolk, Mrs. Lois Altizer, Radford, and Mrs. Mary Jo Eaton, Lynchburg; one son, Buddy Kinder, Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas O. Howell, Radford; Mrs. James C. Scott, and Mrs. Roy Bishop, Pulaski; five brothers, Victor R. Barton, Winfred E. Barton, Hubert L. Barton, Radford; William C. Barton, Knoxville, TN; Harold Barton, Jacksonville, FL; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Grove Avenue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Friends may call at the Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home.
