Lois Kinder Ferrel Altizer, 79, of Radford, died Saturday, July 23, 2005. After a lengthy illness, Lois Altizer was called home by her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully with her immediate family surrounding her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Helen Kinder Farmer & Mr. Marvin Kinder. Her first husband and father of her children, Mr. Leroy Ferrel also preceded her passing. Her husband, Mr. Truby Altizer, passed away in March 2005. Her only brother, Mr. Marvin (Bud) Kinder, Jr. also preceded her. Survivors include sisters, Mrs. Mary Jo (Charles) Eaton, Mrs. Margaret Lester; aunt, Mrs. Aileen Howell; daughter, Shari Lynn (Greg) Corson; son, Lloyd Ferrel; grandchildren, Laura Corson, Jennifer Corson, Daniel Corson, David Ferrel, Matthew Ferrel, and Robert Ferrel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the Radford Christian Church with the Rev. Andy Woodward officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
