Mrs. Joyce, 84 years old, died Tuesday at Missouri Delta Medical Center here.
She was born Dec. 6, 1905, at Blodgett, the daughter of James Franklin and Ida May Smith Wallace. She married Pearl Lyman Joyce Jan. 12, 1926, at Charleston. He died Jun. 7, 1950.
She was a lifelong resident of this area, and had been a nurse's aide at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Carl Joyce; a daughter, Bertha Joyce; four brothers, Lester, Cecil, Marvin "Buddy" and J.B. "Junior" Wallace; two sisters, Esther Hall and Helen Oliver; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, four brothers and two grandsons.
