Helen Mae Oliver, 91 of Sikeston Mo. passed away Sunday (Nov 25, 2012) St. Louis Helen was born April 18, 1921 Sikeston Mo, to James and Ida Wallace. She raised two wonderfully successful children, Patsy Jean and Emory Caleb. Helen was a dedicated worker and spent 35 years at the International Florsheim Shoe Factory. The last 5 years of her career she became the first female arbitrator for the United Union. She spent 5 years as a CNA at the Delta Missouri Hospital. Helen was an avid volunteer and gave over 27 years volunteering at the local Sikeston nursing homes, where she was recognized and awarded many honors for her dedication. She truly enjoyed caring for those in need and would never tolerate a person to go hungry. Helen's philosophy in life recognized that what truly mattered "was that children and dogs like you", as they will see you for what you really are. Helen loved to travel, go fishing and enjoyed her family immensely. She is preceded in death by; her parents, former husbands Buster Vaughn and Caleb Oliver , Daughters Pasty Jean Vaughn Winkelmann and Elizabeth Oliver(infant), Beloved Granddaughter Lora Renee Oliver, Eight Brothers, and Four Sisters. She is survived by; her son Emory Oliver of Potosi, son-in-law Loren Winkelmann of Bloomington Ill. , Grandchildren; Christopher Oliver, Kimbrala (Martin) Payne, Pamela (Donald) Marshall, Angela (Jason) Misch, and Jason(Tonia Stull) Winkelmann, nine great grandchildren, as well as her very special Nieces.
