Services Due Friday For Mrs. Eva Foster
Requiem Eucharist for Mrs. Eva Blake Foster, 601 N. University Blvd., a resident of Norman for the past 71 years, will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Foster died Wednesday in Norman Municipal Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1886, in Kansas, and moved here in 1890. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, St. John's Guild, Black Beaver Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star. Past worthy matron of the Eastern Star, member and past president of the Past Matrons Club, member and past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine, member of the Supreme Committee of White Shrine, past district deputy of White Shrine, president of the Oklahoma State White Shrine Club. A member and past royal matron of Amaranth, a Campfire executive, charter member of the Home Economics Club, member of the Domestic Arts Department of Norman Sorosis, founder and first president of the Norman High Parent-Teacher Association, past president of the Washington PTA and past president of the PTA Council.
The burial office will be read at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial, with Eastern Star graveside ceremonies, will be in the IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Meyer and Meyer Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Jack W. Sr., of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Miller, Fremont, Ohio; two sons, Jack Jr., Tulsa, and Richard, Nevada, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. D. W. Jenkins, Downey, Calif., and four grandchildren.
