Hasting Rites
Held Tuesday
Burial In Bethel Cemetery For Medora
Resident; Died Last Sunday At
Clarinda; Was 79
Funeral services for Ira J. Hastings, 79, who died at a Clarinda hospital Sunday, were held in charge of the Webster funeral home from the Bethel Chapel church Tuesday with the Rev. C. C. Miller officiating. Burial was
made in the Bethel Chapel cemetery .
Born in Warren county, Nov. 28, 1868, the son of Joseph and Catherine Hastings , he spent most of his life farming in the Medora community. He never married.
He had been in failing health for a number of years . He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Lola Marquis of Winchester, Idaho, who is the last of a family of ten children. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, as
well as other relatives and friends.
