Obituary.
Robert Elias Hasting
Robert Elias Hasting, son of Joseph and Catherine Hasting, was born April 28, 1871, in Warren county, Iowa, and departed this life on Feb. 9, 1933 at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 11 days. He died at his home near Medora after several months of illness.
He was married to Dellah Ruble on Feb. 17, 1899, and to this union five children were born, all of whom are living and were near him during his period of illness, ready to do all that loving hands could do. He, with his family, lived on a farm in Warren county until his departure.
He was a kind loving husband and father, always giving his thoughts to others first. He was a true believer in the Bible.
He leaves to mourn their loss a devoted wife and five children: Mrs. Ila Chumbley of New Virginia, Mrs. Reta Thorn of Indianola, Harold Hasting of Lacona, and Earl Elias and Velma Maxine at home. Also a brother, Ira of Lacona, and three sisters: Sarah Campfield in Missouri, Lola Marquis and Mary Welch, both of Idaho. There are also seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The Rev. Forrest D. Kellogg of Lacona conducted the funeral services at Bethel Chapel, and the body interred in the cemetery there.

The family wishes to thank the
neighbors and friends for their
kindness during the sickness and
