WILLIAM THOMAS HASTING

William Thomas Hasting, son of Joseph and Catharine Hasting, was born April 20, 1865, and departed this life Sept. 28, 1926, aged 61 years, 6 months, and 8 days.

He was united in marriage to Jennie McLennan of near Lacona, March 7, 1888. To this union four children were born: Ellen Thorne, who departed this life May 24, 1913, Harley of New Virginia, Etha Williams of Des Moines, and Iva Adams of Osceola. He was converted and united with the M. E. Church of Medora in 1913 and lived a devoted life of faith in his Redeemer. He was a kind and loving father, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His wife preceded him in death on July 22, 1922. He leaves to mourn their loss, three children, four grandchildren, three sisters, and three brothers: Sarah Campfield of Brookfield, MO, Mary Welch and Lola Marquis of Winchester, Idaho, Joseph of Kansas City, MO, Ira and Elias of Medora, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Just a thought of sweet remembrance,
Just a memory fond and true,
Just a token of affection
And a heartache still for you,
Just a sigh for the olden moments,
Just a smile of love anew,
Just a tear in silence falling,
And a yearning just for you.

Services were held at Medora M. E. Church Thursday at 2:30, Rev. Muir officiating.
