Tews Menasha Age 92, formerly of Route 1, Fremont, died on Saturday April 30, 1994 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center, Menasha. She was [born] July 28, 1901 in the Town of Winchester, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Winkler) Drews. She was married April 27, 1922 in the Town of Caledonia, to Walter Tews, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1950. Clara was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Route 1, Fremont and a charter member of it's Ladies Aid. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Orwald (Irma) Tews, Fremont; Arden (Eileen)Tews, Neenah; two daughters and a son-in-law: Ruth and Burnell Nemmitz, Manawa; Arline Tews, Appleton; six grandchildren; Keith Nemitz, Kneale (Kristy) Nemitz, Karen (Tim) Fischer, Debbie (Daniel) Latuski, Richard (Wendy) Tews, Scott Tews; five great-grandchildren: Peter, Lindie, Nicole, Michael and Ben; a brother, Victor Drews, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Esther Drews, New London. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 3, 1994 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, E9016 Marsh Rd., Fremont with Rev. Edward Knuth officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery Route 1, Fremont. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home Fremont on Monday (TODAY) from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 until 9 a.m. and then at the church until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established."
