Appleton Post Crescent, March 10, 1955, Page 37, Col. 1: "Mrs. Anna C. Drews - Winneconne - Mrs. Anna Caroline Drews, 87, route 1, Larsen, died at 12:20 this morning after an illness of six weeks. She was born April 16, 1867, at Belle Plain in Shawano county and came to Larsen after her marriage in 1894.

"Funeral services will be at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at route 1, Fremont, with the Rev. Paul Westmeier in charge. Burial will be in the Caledonia cemetery. Friends may call at the Mueller Funeral home after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon until 9 o'clock Sunday morning and at the church after 11 o'clock that morning.

"Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Clara Tews, route 1, Fremont; Mrs. Annie Bork and Mrs. Frieda Frick, both of Oshkosh; six sons, Emil and Martin of Winneconne, Harry of New London, Elmer of route 3, Appleton, Victor of Appleton and Fred, at home; three sisters, Miss Louisa Winkler, Shawano, Mrs. Clara Zank, Augusta, and Mrs. Mathilda Drews, Larsen; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren."
