Funeral services for the late Edward C. Murphy, age 48, former Globe resident were held at Holy Angels Church with burial in Globe Cemetery. Mr. Murphy was born Christmas Day in Butte Montana. He as a son of the late Mrs. Mary Murphy of Globe. He followed the vocation of an Electrician. Some years ago he moved to Phoenix; he died last Friday at a Phoenix Hospital. He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Katherine Obrien; former Globe resident, currently living in California. Mrs. Neil Bard of California; Mrs. Mamie Crowe of New York City and one brother Mike F. Murphy who is a Deputy Collector for the Internal Revenue Service in Phoenix. Jones Funeral Home assisted the family with preparations and services.
