Following a rope made fast to a boat on the bank of Middle River, a little girl, the daughter of Stuart Wagner, prominent farmer of New Hope section, found her father's body bound by the neck in the waters of the river. The discovery was made about 6 o'clock Tuesday morning and it is thought that Mr. Wagner jumped into the river about 3 a.m.
Though he had not been well for several weeks, no motive could be assigned for Mr. Wagner's suicide. He was about 60 years of age and was the father of 12 children, 9 boys and 3 girls who with their mother survive him. Funeral was held at Bethlehem Church.
