Funeral services were held Thursday, January 5, for Mrs. Georgia Poole, 87, Park Rapids, who died Tuesday, January 3, at her home.
Cause of death was old age and complications. She had several strokes and was bedridden for the past year and a half.
Georgia Osborn was born April 6, 1873 at Monroe county, Wis., the daughter of Sarah Ann and George Osborn. She attended grade school at Sparta, Wis., and high school at Ashland, Wis.
She was married to Clark Poole November 1, 1903 at Hubbard. One daughter was born to the union.
After moving from Wisconsin, Mrs. Poole lived at Twin Valley, Osage, and at Park Rapids since 1923.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dell Leaman, Park Rapids; two grandchildren, F. Clark Witter, Minneapolis, and Karen M. Leaman, Park Rapids and a sister Mrs. A. E. Colgrove, Park Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
Services were held at 2 o'clock at the Frazey Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Osage cemetery in the spring.
Mrs. Ray Danielson was the pianist and accompanied Palmer Vaadeland, soloist.
Pallbearers were Harold Weaver, Ezra Fox, Ray Larson, E. W. Andrews, Ed Estabrook, and Harry McMillan.
Relatives and friend attending from out of town were, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Fox and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Fox and sons of Clontarf, Vern Fox and Mr. and Mrs. Ole Anderson of Benson, Ezra Jones and C. J. Fox of Moorhead, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Witter and sons of Minneapolis and many friends from the Osage area.
Frazey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
