Admiral Dewey BIGGS, 65, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 212 Pontiac street. Although he had been in failing health for two years, death was unexpected. He was a lifetime resident of Rochester. Born in Fulton county Feb. 23, 1898, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Arminta ALSPACH BIGGS. He was married in Rochester Nov. 22, 1919 to Pauline M. DALE, who survives. A member of the First Christian church of Michigan City, Mr. Biggs had been a carpenter in recent years. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Joan) KOCH, R.R. 4, Rochester, and Mrs. Eugene (Dolores) IHOLTS, Rochester; three sons, Dale R. and William D., Rochester, and Robert D. [BIGGS], Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; two brothers, George [BIGGS], Rochester, and Dee [BIGGS], Macy, and nieces and nephews. Two daughters, a son, four sisters and three brothers preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Ray MILLS officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.
