WALTER MUNDELL
NEW CASTLE, Ind. - Walter Mundell, 83, New Castle, died Friday.
Born July 25, 1914, in Atlanta, Ind., he was the son of George and Blanche Peters Mundell.
His wife of 59 years, Mary Mundell, survives.
He attended the North Avenue Church of God and had worked as a railroad engineer, retiring in 1974 from the Nickle Plate Railroad after 33 years of employment.
Others surviving are one daughter, Patty Keesling of Vincennes; one brother, David Mundell of Tipton; three sisters; Nora Lee Ripberger, Elizabeth Tragesser and Eunice Nunemaker of Tipton, a grandson; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were today at the Main & Fram Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Joplin officiating. Burial was in South Mound Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Avenue Church of God through the funeral home.
