Juliana Bahr, 70, passed away November 26, 1954, at the Coleridge Nursing Home, Coleridge, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Rev. H. G. Knaub, pastor, officiated. Pallbearers were Leonard Kuhl, Arnold Nicels, Emil Hintz, Harlan Hagge, Henry J. Friedrichsen and Jess Gray. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Nebraska.

Juliana Suckstorf was born July 24, 1884, in Fehmarn, Germany, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Voss) Suckstorf. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She married Gustav Heinrich Bahr on March 28, 1907, in Fehmarn. In the fall of 1910, they came to the United States to Hartington, Nebraska, and later moved to a farm northwest of Bloomfield.

Surviving are her husband, Gustav; three sons, Nick, Herman and William Bahr, all of Bloomfield; one daughter, Dorothy (John) Lowin of Bloomfield; two grandsons; four brothers, Matt Suckstorf of Bloomfield, James and Hans Suckstorf, both of Lynch and Herman Suckstorf of Scottsbluff; one brother-in-law, Nick Begier of Hartington; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gustav Bahr.

Notes: Catharina Juliane Suchsdorf was born July 24, 1884 in Albertsdorf, Fehmarn, an island off the northern coast of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Her parents were Hermann and Emma Christiana Friederike (Voss) Suchsdorf. Her mother died in Germany. She married Gustav Heinrich Bahr on March 28, 1907 in Landkirchen, Fehmarn. She had a son, Niko Suchsdorf before her marriage to Gustav Bahr and a daughter, Dorothea and a son, Hermann Bahr after marriage. The family came to the United States to Knox County, Nebraska in 1910. Her father, Hermann Suchsdorf, came to the United States in 1912 to live with the Bahr family. The surname Suchsdorf became Suckstorf in the United States. Catharina used the name Juliana during her lifetime.
