Jim Loden Dies Friday; Rites Sunday
Jim F. Loden, 48 of Athens died Friday after becoming suddenly ill at his home about 5 p.m. He was dead on arrival at Henderson County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Loden was a truck driver for the Curtis Mathis Company.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Hassell and Foster Chapel.
A native of Henderson County, Mr. Loden moved to Dallas and lived there for 25 years before returning to Athens two years ago.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Loden of Athens; one son, Jim Loden Jr., of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Couch of Athens; three brothers,
Lester Loden Jr., and W. L. Loden, both of Athens, and Lowell Loden of Dallas; five sisters; Mary Ruth Pettiette of Athens, Bernice Sherwood of Fort Worth,
Iris Williams of Bedford, Edna Partin and Evelyn Brown, both of Garland; and four grandchildren.
The services will be conducted by Rev. T. L. Slimp.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Nephews will be pallbearers.
