Funeral services for Lowell Loden, 56, of Rt. 6, Kemp, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Foster and Brown funeral home in Athens with the Rev. Melvin Boatwright officiating.

Burial will be in Ash Cemetery near Athens.

Mr. Loden died Tuesday afternoon at Lakeland medical Center after a short illness.

Born Aug. 29, 1927 in Athens, he lived in the Athens area most of his life. A baptist, he was a truck driver, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Ruth Loden of Kemp; three sons, Eddie Taylor of Garland, Everett Harris of Dallas, and Lowell N. Loden Jr. of Kemp; five daughters, Nita Casper of Dallas, Vicki Sarlow of Garland, Donna Webb of Dallas, Pamela Washington of Gun Barrel City and Rhonda Loden of Kemp;five sisters; Edna Partin of Canton, Bernice Sherwood of Kemp, Iris Williams of Athens, Mary Ruth Pettiette of Athens and Evelyn Brown of Dallas; and 16
grandchildren.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
