Final rites were conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at Linquist Colonial chapel in Odgen for Jennie Bowthorpe Brimhall, 69 of South Weber who died July 11 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City of apparent natural causes.
Bishop LeRoy H. Poll of the South Weber Ward conducted the service. Interment was in Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden.
Mrs. Brimhall was born July 22, 1892 in Holladay, a daughter of Nephi and Philinda Reynolds Brimhall. She grew up in Holladay and attended schools there. At the age of 24, she moved to Vernal and married Earl Brimhall February 17, 1915 in Vernal. He preceded her in death, August 21, 1961. Since 1956 she has resided in South Weber. She has been active in the LDS Church having been a member of the Vernal First Ward Singing Mothers, a teacher in Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society.
She is survived by three sons, Adair, Vernal; Keith and Kermit, both of South Weber; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Edna) Schofield, Holladay, and Mrs. Wm. (Mary) Backus, Sunset; 21 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Warren, Dennis, Harold, all of Holladay; Mrs. Alfred (Eunice) Simper, Vernal; Miss Mary Bowthorpe, Mrs. R. (Josie) Workman, both of Holladay.
