Mrs. McCalley was a member of the Christian church and lived a fine Christian life, as her words and deeds testify. She was the mother of ten children, five of whom survive, namely: Ralph McCalley, Mirth Pratt, Geraldine Eaton, Amber Humphreys and Chester McCalley. Two daughters died in young womanhood, Bethel Peterson and Lula Roach.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday p.m. by her pastor, Rev. O. O. Hunsaker of Galt. Interment was in the Humphreys cemetery." The Milan Republican (Milan, Missouri), December 8, 1932
