He was the paternal grandson of David Perrin & Temperance Honeycutt of Wake County; and gr-grandson of David & Susan Honeycutt of Wake Co.
Daniel married Martha Ray Perry in 1902 when he was age 27 and she 21. They resided in Raleigh where he as a rural mail carrier for the post office. They would be parents of 5 known children: Christina (c. 1907) and David (c. 1909), Margaret (ca. 1912), Thomas Eugune (ca. 1914), and Evelyn (ca. 1917).
Daniel Honeycutt died young in 1919. He was only 44 years old. His wife of 17 years never remarried and died 39 years later in 1958 at about age 77.
