Mrs. Elizabeth Tarr, 73 years of age, who has been a resident of Monroeville many years, departed this life last Sunday morning at her home here. Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 o-clock from the residence. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Mrs. Tarr is survived by several children, among whom are Philip, John and James Meese and Mrs. Henry Dorris, of Monroeville, and Mrs. T. S. Wickwire of Angola.
She was the daughter of Inman Budd.
Elizabeth Meese was married three times; first to Jacob Meese on 24 Dec 1851 in Van Wert, Ohio by Gersham Jewel, JP. The license was issed on 23 Dec 1851 and returned on 2 May 1852.
She was next married to Paoli Tarr in Allen County, Indiana on 4 May 1884; Mr. Tarr passed away 6 Nov 1888.
Her last marriage was to John Darr, who was 70 years old when she married him on 12 Sep 1896 in Allen County, Indiana. She would have been around 60 at that time. They were divorced Nov 1899, when she was granted $50 in alimony.
