Former Allen County Resident Dies Near Angola

ANGOLA, Ind., Nov. 15 - Jacob Meese, born in Columbiana county, Ohio, March 3, 1821, died Nov. 12, 1909, at his late home, four and one-half miles northwest of Angola, at the farm home of Senator and Mrs. T. S. Wickwire. His age was 88 years, 7 months, 21 days. Jacob Meese was a man whose strongest principle was honesty and fair dealing with his fellowman. He is survived by six children--Mrs. Thomas S. Wickwire, of Angola; Mrs. Henry Dorris, Monroeville, Ind.; Phillip, John and James Meese, of Monroeville, Ind., and Frank Meese of Oklahoma. Funeral services were conducted from the late home of the deceased by the Rev. M. V. Hibbs, of Pleasant Lake, with interment of the Mount Zion cemetery. Deceased was a member of United Brethren church.
