She married Charles Edward Grace in Water Ridge, Collin Co, TX, on October 18, 1896. Their children were: Ora Lee, Albert, Leah, Dovie, Velma, Edna, Cynthia Mae, Ted, Roy Lee, Charles Dewey, Howard T., & John Frederick.
Her second marriage was to Smith A. McDonald about 1953.
Ellie died on August 1, 1964.
Mrs. McDonald's Services Held
Funeral services were to be held at 2;30 p.m. today in the Yuba Baptist Church for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Grace McDonaald, 85, of Hendrix.
Mrs. McDonald died Sunday in a Bonham Hospital. The Rev. Ted Sutton officiated. Burial was to be in Achille cemetery under the direction of Murray Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDonald's grandsons served as pallbearers. Mrs. McDonald was born in Hope, Ark., Dec. 21, 1878. (She was actually born in Henrietta, Clay County, Texas.)
She was a member of the Yuba Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: four sons, Ted Grace of Yuba, Roy Grace of Norman, Dewey Grace of Cobb, and John F. Grace of Monica, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Ora Lewallen, Mrs. Webb Compton, and Mrs. Velma Swindle of Yuba, Mrs. Edna Smith of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Mae Tatum of Vacaville, Calif.; two brothers, Walter Preston of Achille and Bill Dodson of Cartwright; two sisters, Mrs. Dora McFerrin of Westminster, Tex., and Mrs. Jessie Graham of Pampa; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
