DEATH OF HENRY BUZZARD
Henry Buzzzard died at his home in Pinecreek township Saturday last, of a complication of diseases. The deceased was in the 67th year of his age.
Deceased came to Jefferson county in 1852, first locating in Ringgold township, where he lived a few years, and then moved to Pinecreek township, where he remained until his death. In 1850 he married Catherine Snyder, who is left to mourn her loss. He was the father of five children, three of whom died in infancy. The two remaining living children being Mrs. A. D. Deemer of Brookville and Mrs. Wm. Benninger of near Emerickville. He was grandfather of seven children.
He was a member of the Winebrenner or Church of God, and was instrumental in organizing a church of that denomination at Emerickville and erecting the church at that place, and he was the first adult person to be buried in the graveyard in connection with the church. The funeral took place Monday, and was very largely attended.

"... Mrs. Deemer's parents were born in Schuylkill county, Penn., the father in 1827, the mother in 1825. They had two children: Catherine (Mrs. Benninger of Emerickville, Penn.); and Sarah J (Mrs. Deemer). Samuel Bussert, the grandfather, a native of Schuylkill county, was four times married, first to a Miss Wetzel, and in an early day they became pioneers of Jefferson county. They had four children: Lucy, Eliza, Catherine, and Henry (Mrs. Deemer's father). ..."
