JOHN BUZZARD OF NORTH FREEDOM DIED IN PUNXS'Y
Strangulated Hernia Causes Death of Prominent Farmer and Blacksmith, Aged 85
John Buzzard, a life-long resident of North Freedom, died in this city Wednesday after a week's illness at the age of 85 years. He had been suffering from strangulated hernia.
The deceased was born in the Eastern part of the State a son of Mr. and .Mrs. Samuel Buzzard and came to Jefferson County with his parents when a small boy. He worked on the farm and was a blacksmith until he retired a number of years ago. He was married twice, his first wife dying many years ago. He was a member of the Evangelical Church and a fine, upstanding citizen whose death is keenly felt.
He leaves his widow and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. C. V. Milliron, of Frostburg; T. S. Buzzard, of East Brady; Mrs. Minnie McQuiston, of Elmira, N. Y. ;Mrs. I. C. Stormer, of Summerville; Mrs. L. C. Buzzard, of Franklin; Mrs. Dale Trayer, of Rossiter, and Mrs. Jess Thomas, of SummervilIe.
No funeral arrangements nave been made.
