Mollie was the daughter of Joseph Larkin and Mary Bea (Sparks) YANDELL. Her siblings were: John Daniel, Isaac Wilson, Joseph Elzie; Lloyd O., and Iona W. YANDELL Barnes.
Her parents moved into eastern Okla. and she grew up there. She married James Arthur CHILDRESS on 22 Dec. 1905, at Lodi, (Latimer Co) OK. By 1930 she and Arthur were living in Oklahoma City with their family. Their children were:
Elsie; James Dewel; Thelma Pat; Opal M; and Charles W.
Mollie was a person of integrity and high morals. She had two clergymen brothers. She attended the FWBaptist Church, but in her later years, the Nazarene Church where her funeral was held. She was 97 yrs 6 mos and 11 days.

She was married to James Arthur Childress in August 1904. They had 6 children & 8 grandchildren. She is survived by 3 daughters, Elsie Williams & Thelma Cummins of OKC & Opal Pool of Country Club Hill, IL; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Childress was a member of the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be Monday, May 12, 1986, 2pm at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Directed by Demuth-Garrison & Sherman Funeral Home.
