Lloyd Oliver Yandell, Sr, was the son of Joseph Larkin and Mary Bea (Sparks) Yandell, one of six surviving children. He died from a heart attack after only a few days illness in a McAlester hospital.
He was bn in Scott Co. AR. He lived in eastern OK with his parents, went to college and became a teacher and administrator. He married Pauline Rich, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Rich, of Red Oak. They were members of the Baptist church. Pauline was also a teacher, in Latimer Co. and Pittsburg counties OK. They had two children, Lloyd O., Jr. and Clarice, a daughter.
