(Noted): Margaret had a son, Claude E. Cooper,
before marrying my Great-Great-Grandfather
William Reason "Reese" Newlin. Claude's father
is unknown at this time...

(Husband) William Reason "Reese" Newlin.

(Noted): On Margaret's Marriage license to my Great-Great-Grandfather, William R. Newlin, it states her parent's names as: (Salem) and Margaret Cooper. But I believe since her father (Sharon Cooper) died before her birth, that she considered her Uncle Salem Elijah Cooper "like a father-figure." Because she's staying with her Uncle Salem Cooper and his family in (1870) in Allegany Co., Maryland; but is also staying with her mother (Margaret Cooper and her other siblings, Marion, Salem E., Hiram A., in Opequon, Frederick Co., Va., also under the (1870) U.S. Census, where it was very common for a family member to stay with a relative, and later show back up under their parents a few days or weeks later. Plus, later, when my Great-Great-Grandparents William R. and Margaret Elizabeth (Cooper) Newlin had their last child, my Great-Grandfather, Salem Elijah Newlin, she named him after her beloved Uncle Salem Elijah Cooper.

(Also Noted): Since Margaret Elizabeth "Lizzie" Cooper,
was named after her mother, Margaret Elizabeth (Keller) Cooper. She used her middle name Elizabeth and nickname (Lizzie), instead.
