After Frank's father died, he came to Texas, with his mother and some of his siblings. He was captured and injured at Vickburg in CSA. He married Susan McClanahan April 21 1864. They were parents of eight children. In the summer of 1888 the family moved from Crawford, TX, to Plainview, Hale, TX. About 1894 Frank, Susan and their children; Mary M, Frank, Eppie, and Hallie, and their grandchildren, Carroll and Susie, moved to El Campo, Wharton, TX. They stayed there about 5 years. In a period of just 3 years Frank and his daughters, Mary Meador and Hallie died. He died after a 3 month illness of probably kidney failure. They were buried in a small cemetery outside of El Campo, Texas. Their graves were found and monuments put up. There are a few other graves, but most are lost.
