Frank never had a middle name. He needed a middle initial when he went into the Air Force so he used R. and then it was always used.

Frank left Montana when he joined the Air Force in 1958 and retired from the Air Force in 1980. He met and married Marjorie Ann Courtney Apr 12, 1957 in Paxton, Ford County, Illinois. In later years he developed multiple sclerosis and was in a walker for many years. Frank and Margie raised two sons and lost a grand son Jeremy Clinton Hume Mar 14, 2002.

According to his grand daughter Jessica, Frank was a mason for many years, he become a shriner and also was worshipful Master of a lodge in Lakewood.
