CURTISS RITES WILL BE SET

Funeral arrangements were incomplete today for Mrs. Mary Jane Curtiss, 31, and her daughter, Chena, 2-1/2, who were killed yesterday when the car she was driving was struck by a freight train on the Fortine crossing.

Mrs. Curtiss was born April 4, 1923, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Hume of Rexford. She was married to Charles N. Curtiss about five years ago. She and her husband had spent their married life in Fortine, except for about two years in Alaska.

She is survived by her husband, her parents, six brothers, William Hume of Evergreen, Edward of Rexford, Walter of Rexford, Patrick of Fortine, Robert of Rexford, and Franklin who is in the Air Force in Japan; and three sisters, Margaret and Julia Hume at home, and Mrs. Robert Lee of Kalispell. A son, Dennis, died last March at the age of 3-1/2.

Mrs. Curtis spent all but three years of her schooling in Kalispell. She graduated from Lincoln County High School.
