By 1880 both of his parents have apparently died, possibly in Missouri or Arkansas. The youngest child in this census is Robert E., born in 1873, and they are listed in the Beaver Dam Twp MO 1876 census, so we know that William and Elizabeth were alive in 1876. We find the children in Lawrence Co. Arkansas in Marion Township in 1880. Willie is listed as a 20 year old servant in the household of Samuel Combs and his wife Martha S. Also listed in Samuel's household is his sister, Elizabeth I. 14, Juliet M., 9 Missouri, and Robert E., 7 Missouri. His sister, Leona is listed as the wife of head of household James E. Combs, the brother of Samuel. In this household of James and Leona Freeman Combs there is also their younger brother, David Henry, listed as their servant, and farm laborer.
These Freeman siblings and Combs siblings married each other.

We believe that Mary died sometime between the Cherokee Co. Oklahoma 1900 census and 1905. In 1905 he married Annie LaBass Huggins, a half Indian widow with 6 children. They had a son named Clarence. They can be found in the 1910 Potter Co. Tx and the 1920 Quay Co N.M. census.
After Annie's death, he migrated to California where he died in Merced.
