Louis was the third child born to Superintendent D.L. and Cora Burns. He married Mildred White in 1949 in Austin, Texas. In 1950 their first child of eight children was born. Louis and Mildred Burns moved to Phoenix Arzonia in 1951 where he lived for the rest of his life. Seven more children were born during the time they lived in Phoenix. Louis was famous for his barbarque sauce. He spent several years working for others grilling up good old Texas BBQ in Phoenix Arzonia. Finally in 1985 he opened his own BBQ business "Bud's BBQ". After that he spent most his time there working at his BBQ place. He and Mildred were divorced in 1988. He continued to work his business for the rest of his life. Finally in 1997 he died of a heart attack. He was preceded in death by his parents Cora and D.L. Burns, his sister Roberta and his brother Willie Lee. He leaves to mourn his passing, his former wife, Mildred, his children, Linda, Diana, Peter, Kevin, Kathy, Kimberly, Louis Jr., and Cora, his sisters, Freddie Mae, Lillie B., Bobbie Lee, Dorothy Marie, Shirley Jean, his brothers D.L. Jr., and Curtis James, his neices, nephews, and many friends.
