Dorothy Marie Burns was the seventh child born to Superintend D.L. and Cora Burns. She was trained in the scriptures of the Bible from a little girl and was very knowledgable. She could quote scriptures for any occiation. She was united in marriage to Virgil Edgar Hardin in 1958. Seven children were born to this union. She became the First Lady at Power House Temple COGIC. She suffered terribly at the end, but never lost her faith in God. She said she was going home to see her children and her parents. She was preceeded in death by both of her parents, her daughters, Jacqueline Rene, Elnora Marie, her youngest child, Yul Christopher, and several brothers and sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 42 years, Virgil, her daughters Caroline and Leasel, her sons Virgin, Jr. and Stanley, several brothers and sisters, and many more.
